Welcome! I'm Laura Hicks, a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. And I’m here to guide you on your journey toward wellness and self-discovery. My approach to therapy is centered on you and your unique story, creating a supportive space where you can explore, learn, and grow.

I specialize in working with teens and young adults navigating life transitions, individuals seeking to understand and improve their relationships, and those recovering from religious trauma, PTSD, and disassociation. I support and walk alongside LGBTQIA+ folx and am polyamory and CNM/ENM-affirming.

My passion lies in helping you uncover and address the root causes of your challenges and move beyond temporary coping mechanisms. I encourage easing into vulnerability to achieve lasting change and personal growth.

In our sessions, you'll find a judgment-free zone where your experiences and feelings are validated. I'm here to support and guide you, but remember: this is your therapy, your time to learn about yourself. I believe in the power of consistent self-reflection and am committed to walking alongside those who are ready to invest in their mental health and well-being.

Absolutely. I provide an affirming and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as those practicing polyamory or consensual non-monogamy (CNM/ENM).

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. I adhere to strict confidentiality standards as required by law and professional ethics. Your privacy is paramount in our therapeutic relationship.

What insurance and payment methods do you accept?

I currently accept the following insurance:

Additional insurance carriers are coming soon!

While I am an out-of-network provider for some insurance plans, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. However, there is no guarantee that your insurance will reimburse the costs. 

I also accept credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and cash payments.
